🚔 Are you a First Responder, or do you know someone who is?
First Responders protect, serve, and assist others on a daily basis. 💙 But when they are the ones who need help, they rarely reach out for it. Tragically, police su***des outnumber on-duty deaths.
👉 A First Responder’s “Lifestyle and Environmental Factors” may look like this:
- Sleep and relaxation: Shift work, long hours, and court dates don’t bode well for quality sleep. 💤 As a result of an unpredictable sleep schedule and high adrenaline atmosphere, many first responders rely on Ambien and other sleep aids.
- Exercise: Sitting takes up a large portion of a police officer’s work day.
- Nutrition/Hydration: With such demanding schedules, first responders often rely on fast food to get them through the day.
- Stress: Chronic/acute stress is ongoing, and seeking help may seem like yet another overwhelming task.
- Relationships/Networks: Unfortunately, divorce is common, and keeping friendships outside of work is difficult. 💔
- Trauma: This goes without saying, but trauma is a part of this job and it’s a high contributor to police su***de.
- Microorganisms/Environmental Pollutants: Chronic exposure to chemicals, disease, toxins, decaying bodies, drugs, EMF signals, f***s, etc. is also part of the job.
