Just as healing happens in healthy relationships, great therapy is strengthened through collaboration.

When you're looking for a therapist, you're not just choosing one person.

You're choosing the team that stands behind them.

At Beyond Limits Counseling, every member of our team brings unique training, experience, and perspectives. We regularly consult with one another, share ideas, and continue learning together because we believe our clients deserve the very best care we can provide.

Some clinicians have advanced training in Sandtray Therapy. Others specialize in trauma, anxiety, couples counseling, or working with children and teens. By drawing on one another's strengths, we're able to provide thoughtful, well rounded care that's grounded in both experience and collaboration.

That means every therapist at Beyond Limits Counseling is supported by colleagues who are committed to continued learning, ethical practice, and helping one another provide exceptional care.

Whether your child works with Autumn, Hannah, or another member of our team, you can feel confident knowing they're supported by a collaborative group of professionals who care deeply about helping your family.

Different strengths.
Shared knowledge.
One goal.

Helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families move beyond limits.

Saying "no" doesn't make you selfish.

For many of us, "no" comes with guilt. We worry about disappointing people, creating conflict, or being seen as uncaring. So we say "yes" when we really mean "no."

Over time, that "yes" can cost us our peace, our energy, and even our relationships.

Dr. Henry Cloud reminds us that "no" isn't a rejection of a person. It's simply a decision about a request.

Healthy boundaries aren't walls that keep people out. They're guardrails that protect what matters most.

Every time you say "no" to something that pulls you away from your values, you're making room to say a wholehearted "yes" to your family, your health, your purpose, and the people you love.

The goal isn't to say "no" more often.

It's to say "yes" more intentionally.

Because the healthiest "yes" often begins with the courage to say "no."

What is one thing you're giving yourself permission to say "no" to?

"What does my child actually do in Sandtray Therapy?"

It's one of the questions parents ask us most.

The answer surprises many people.

There isn't a script.

There aren't "right" or "wrong" choices.

Instead, your child is invited to choose miniature figures, animals, people, buildings, bridges, trees, and other objects that stand out to them. They arrange them in the sand however they choose.

To an outside observer, it might look like play.

But children often communicate through play long before they can communicate through conversation.

As they build their tray, they begin expressing thoughts, emotions, relationships, worries, strengths, and experiences that may be difficult to put into words.

Our role isn't to tell your child what their tray means.

Our role is to create a safe space where curiosity, connection, and healing can unfold at their own pace.

Every sandtray is different.

Every child is different.

And every story deserves to be heard.

If you'd like to learn more about Sandtray Therapy or whether it might be a good fit for your child, we'd be happy to answer your questions.

Some children can't tell you what's wrong.

Not because they don't want to.

Because they don't have the words yet.

That's why we love Sandtray Therapy.

It gives children another way to communicate. Another way to process. Another way to be understood.

At Beyond Limits Counseling, we're grateful to have Autumn Collins, LMFT, an Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist, bringing this specialized approach to our practice.

We're also proud of something parents don't always see.

Our therapists regularly collaborate and consult with one another, sharing ideas, perspectives, and specialized knowledge so every child benefits from the strengths of our entire team.

Because healing is never about one technique or one therapist.

It's about relationships, expertise, and a team committed to helping children thrive.

If you've been wondering whether Sandtray Therapy could help your child, we'd be honored to talk with you.

"When ______ happens, then I'll be happy."

It's a sentence many of us quietly live by.

"When my marriage gets better..."
"When we're finally not living paycheck to paycheck..."
"When I finally have a career I'm passionate about..."
"When the kids don't need so much from me..."

There's nothing wrong with having goals.

The problem is believing life can't be enjoyed until all the problems are solved.

Many of us spend years carrying the weight of providing, fixing, supporting the people we love, and trying to hold everything together. Meanwhile, the finish line keeps moving, and peace always feels just out of reach.

Sometimes the thing keeping us stuck isn't our circumstances.

It's believing we have to wait to experience the life we're working so hard to build.

What would you write in the blank?

One of the things we're most proud of at Beyond Limits Counseling isn't just the experience on our team. It's our commitment to continually learning and growing.

That's one of the many reasons we're grateful to have Autumn Collins, LMFT, on our team.

Autumn is an Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist, bringing advanced training and a wealth of experience in using Sandtray Therapy to help children, teens, and adults express and process experiences that can be difficult to put into words.

What makes that even more meaningful is how generously she shares that knowledge with our team.

Hannah has been enjoying learning alongside Autumn as she begins working toward specialized training in Sandtray Therapy and Play Therapy. It's one example of how our therapists invest in one another's growth so they can continue providing excellent care.

Because when therapists continue learning from one another, our clients receive the very best we have to offer.

If you're considering therapy, we'd love to help you take that first step.

You don't always recognize a trauma bond while you're in it.

Because it doesn't always feel painful.

Sometimes it feels like chemistry.
Sometimes it feels like passion.
Sometimes it feels impossible to walk away.

That's what makes it so confusing.

You find yourself constantly checking your phone.
You feel relief when they're kind to you.
You walk on eggshells to keep the peace.
You mistake the emotional highs and lows for a deep connection.

Over time, your nervous system can begin to associate unpredictability with love.

Healthy love feels different.

It doesn't require you to earn affection.
It doesn't leave you questioning your worth.
It doesn't keep you anxious about where you stand.

Instead, healthy love is built on consistency, emotional safety, respect, and trust.

If today's graphic resonates with you, know this:

Recognizing unhealthy patterns isn't about blaming yourself. It's about understanding what your nervous system learned so you can begin creating relationships that feel safe, steady, and secure.

Healing is possible. 💙

Which point on the graphic do you think people misunderstand the most?

Nobody asks the strong man if he's okay.

Many men grow up believing they have to carry everything. Protect your family. Provide. Figure it out. Don't let anyone see you struggle.

Over time, they become everyone else's safe place, but have no safe place of their own.

Attachment researcher Dr. Sue Johnson reminds us that human beings are wired for connection. We weren't designed to carry life's burdens alone.

Real strength isn't pretending you have everything under control. Real strength is having people you can trust when life gets heavy.

Because even the strongest shoulders need somewhere to set the weight down.

At Beyond Limits Counseling, we believe healing happens in relationships. If life has felt heavier than anyone realizes, we're here to walk alongside you.

Many people think the goal of healing is to become completely independent.

To never need reassurance.
To never feel anxious.
To never lean on anyone else.

But that's not what healing looks like.

Healing isn't learning to do life alone.

Healing is building relationships where you feel safe enough to be yourself.

Safe enough to say,
"I'm struggling."

Safe enough to ask for help.

Safe enough to let someone sit with you when life feels heavy.

Attachment researcher Dr. Sue Johnson reminds us that our deepest need isn't independence.

It's secure connection.

Because when we know someone is there for us, we become more resilient.

We take healthy risks.
We recover more quickly from setbacks.
We face life's challenges with greater confidence.

Not because we're carrying less...

But because we're no longer carrying it alone.

At Beyond Limits Counseling, we believe healing happens in relationships. Whether you're working through anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, or life transitions, we're here to walk alongside you.

As you think about your own life, who is someone that helps you feel safe enough to simply be yourself?
