After retiring, Ms. Marsha missed being around people and wanted a way to give back to her community. Encouraged by Volunteer Services Manager, Nan, and a fellow volunteer, she joined the ECU Health Duplin Hospital volunteer team nearly seven years ago.

One of her favorite parts of volunteering is meeting people. She enjoys seeing familiar faces, including former students and team members, while also getting to know new members of the community.

"I get out of it more than I give," Ms. Marsha said.

We're excited to kick off another Pressure Wise series at Duplin County Senior Services!

Participants attended orientation last week and will spend the coming weeks learning practical strategies to support healthy blood pressure and overall wellness.

ECU Health Duplin Hospital was proud to support this event benefiting Duplin County Schools students! The hospital served as a collection site for donated hygiene items and sponsored the bags, toothbrushes and toothpaste included in the kits.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this effort and helped make a positive impact on the lives of local students and families.
