Regency SouthernCare Hospice Launches Annual Food Drive, Calling on Kennesaw to Help Fight Hunger
Community-wide effort celebrates 22 years of helping local families and seniors facing hunger.
Community members are invited to help fight hunger by participating in Regency SouthernCare’s 22nd Annual Food Drive from September 1-30. Donations of non-perishable food and monetary gifts will support Must Ministries and help provide meals for individuals, families, and seniors experiencing food insecurity in Kennesaw.
Local food banks continue to face increased demand while donations often decline during the fall months. Every food item and financial contribution helps ensure vulnerable community members have access to nutritious meals.
According to Feeding America, nearly 12 million seniors and older adults experience food insecurity. For older adults, food insecurity can severely impact health, exacerbating chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. As a provider dedicated to caring for older adults, Regency SouthernCare understands the challenges many seniors face. This effort reflects our commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the communities we serve, both inside and outside the home.
"Many of our neighbors struggle to put food on the table each day, including older adults living on fixed incomes," said David Causby, CEO. "Through this food drive, every donation, no matter the size, can help provide meals and bring hope to someone in our community. We invite everyone to join us in making a difference."
