Sharing a little bit of my thoughts from a recent run. This is the same run that I posted my last running ramble video from. So I thought about this chiropractic journey and then I thought about all the mothers runners I’ve worked with ❤️❤️

Postpartum running mechanics! I have first hand experience with dealing with postpartum hip after my first and my second. I was not adjusted with my first and I was with my second. And I experienced a vastly different postpartum running regimen between the two pregnancies. And that experience is a big reason why I became a chiropractor and specialize in working with postpartum moms.
We are different after giving birth. And we have different movement patterns after birth. Which can impact our spine and nervous system function. Chiropractic care can be a wonderful way to support the mind and body and get back to physical activity.

I call these road run ramblings because welcome to my brain. Sometimes these don’t make much sense or get to the point. And that’s kind of this one. But also, I’m working on that inner perfectionist, so here it is imperfect.
Do you outsource your self worth and validation? 😬 do you sit with those feelings long enough to get to the root? 😬 this is where movement becomes medicine for me. To process things with my breath. And I’m auditory. I’ll process out loud.
And don’t worry. Movement and chiropractic care aren’t my only therapies 🤪

Well well well. July was interesting. Started off the month with a whole week of beach runs and then I don’t know what happened. Movement consistency continued, but it was different. I tend to not check my mileage until I’m looking over stats at the end of the month. Cause running a certain number of miles each month hasn’t been a goal of mine for a while.
But I do typically fit in at least 75 miles a month. So I was a tad surprised by 53 miles for July. But you know what happened. This damn puppy is what happened 😂 and so I almost doubled my walking miles trying to wear him out!
And I even managed a race at the end of the month.
People find time to do the things they want to do. My mom has always said that. And so I’m happy that I found time for movement. Those around me should be happy to cause “no TV and no beer makes Homer go crazy” 🤪and knowing that I will look over the stats and post it holds me accountable.
Also. If you see this on insta then there’s a song that was recommended for me. Little did insta know that “keep showing up” is all the Lord has been telling me to do lately. Not perform, not produce, not strive, not compare. Show up. Willing to try and grow and learn.

The Dougie update you didn’t ask for. The holding 2 truths concept is very real. How I can love him so much and yet be filled with rage at his actions (he ate our entire downstairs area while we were on vacation).
As of late, he’s been content sitting on the floor next to me during my morning devotional time. But today, he wanted to be a tad closer 😂 and saw no issue with his 65 lbs decision. Maybe he knew what I was reading:
“Let My brilliant Love-Light search out and destroy hidden fears. This process requires time alone with Me, as My Love soaks into your innermost being. Enjoy My perfect Love, which expels every trace of fear” ~ Jesus Calling

The Red Top Roaster lived up to its name 🥵 if the hills don’t get ya, the humidity will! 8.8 miles, 1:25, my average heart rate was 170 😱😱😱😱😱
Squeezed out first in my age group 🙌🤩
My goals for the race:
Start slow ✔️
Don’t fall ✔️
Run relaxed ✔️ (kinda)
Have fun ✔️
Tim Schroer always puts on a good race!

No thoughts on this run, just a fun little beachy run I only get to do when it’s low tide.
And some years the tide is so high, I can’t make it to this old dock at all. I’ve got to duck down to fit under it. So this was a special treat. It’s the little things!

Beachy runs!!!! 26.4 miles while we were on vacation at Holden Beach. I lucked out with super low tides every morning - great for running. I stopped to pet every dog I saw. I played with a crab at one point. Ran out into a sand bar because of the low tide
And did my annual Beachtree instead of the Peachtree on July 4th 🤩

Late to the June stats cause we were on vacation 🏖️ 🤩
Enjoy the pictures of Doug (as a baby next to his yeti and then as a gremlin next to his destroyed yeti 😂)
June was fantastic for movement. The family calendar was lighter than normal which was intentionally planned. And I had shifted some work hours to make more time for family ❤️
