When recovery comes first, everything else can follow.

Actor, author, recovery advocate, and Alina Lodge alum, Mackenzie Phillips, joined us for our 2026 Gratitude Picnic to share her story and wisdom through her own recovery journey.

Thank you Mackenzie for always inspiring others. The best is yet to come.

For more than five years, High Watch guests have participated in Equine Assisted Learning Experiences.

Through hands-on activities with horses, the Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Program helps support the mental and physical well-being of our guests. This programming builds emotional agility, self-awareness, confidence, and many more important tools to use towards long-term recovery.

Today, we hear Mackenzie’s story. During her time as a guest, Mackenzie’s two week session on our farm, created a deep connection with our horses, leading to a pivotal moment for her recovery journey.

To learn more about our Equine Assisted Learning Program & Mackenzie’s story, visit us at highwatchrecovery.org/equus-effect/ or call us at (203) 280-1001.

2026 Cape Cod Symposium in Providence, Rhode Island!

While it was certainly bittersweet to see the conference move from Cape Cod to Providence, the most important part remained the same—the people. It was great to spend time connecting with treatment providers from across the country, strengthening existing relationships, and making meaningful new connections throughout the conference.

Grateful for the conversations, collaboration, and shared commitment to helping individuals and families find recovery. Looking forward to continuing the relationships built this week!

This was a celebration of all 1,200 of you.

Every alum. Every family member. Every staff member. Every current guest.

The Gratitude Picnic was a reminder of what makes High Watch so special: the community that is built on these historic grounds. Thank you for showing up, sharing your stories, and making this day one a part of our history.
