Portage warming centers opening for the cold weather and snow:

At this time, two warming centers have been opened in Portage County. The Shepherd's House of Portage County: 2645 OH-59 Ravenna, Ohio 44266. 24/7 throughout the entire week next week & Neighborhood and Development Services (NDS): 120 East Main St. Ravenna, Ohio, 44266, through Monday morning, Jan. 26, 2026.

NDS is in need of new blankets & pillows, new clothing (sweatpants, sweatshirts, socks & underwear), food, water and supplies that will help during the cold spell and storm. Volunteers are needed as well. Questions or More Information Contact NDS directly at 330-297-6400

Sherpards House can always use non-perishable snacks & food items, toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, disposable cups, napkins, coffee, hot chocolate & volunteers.

From the absolute bottom of our hearts- Thank you for making tonight’s event such a memorable time! We truly loved seeing all the kids and families dressed up and having fun together. We honestly aren’t sure if us adults or the kids had more fun!
