You are sitting in traffic, running late for something, and without even noticing it your shoulders have inched up toward your ears. Your jaw is tight. Your hands are gripping the wheel a little harder than they need to. A few minutes later you catch yourself and consciously lower your shoulders, on...

A tough week does not erase the progress you have already made, even when it feels that way. The body holds onto gains longer than most people expect, even through a stretch of stress or a missed visit here and there. Showing up again is usually all it takes to pick right back up.

Most people think of the feet as separate from the spine, but the arches in your feet absorb shock with every step and send information upward through the whole kinetic chain. When that shock absorption is off, it can show up as strain much higher up, even in the lower back. Ask us about reflexology with Anne next time you visit!

Watch someone walk down a street and you can often guess a lot about them before they say a single word: tired, rushed, relaxed, in a hurry. What most people don’t realize is that the way we walk also reveals a great deal about what is happening in the spine, often well before any pain shows up.

Small, consistent changes in how your spine moves work a lot like compound interest. Each visit builds on the last, and the results tend to accelerate the longer you stay with it rather than showing up in one dramatic jump. If you have been consistent lately, that groundwork is doing more than it might feel like right now.

Sometimes the person who notices your posture shift before you do is someone who has spent years by your side. If a friend or family member has mentioned they carry tension the same way you used to, that quiet observation might be the opening you need. Passing along what has helped you costs nothing and could be the nudge they have been waiting for.

Stopping care too early can mean the tissue settles back into its old, tighter pattern before it has fully retrained. Staying consistent through this stage is what helps the change hold long term.

A lot of people assume they need a referral from a medical doctor before they can see a chiropractor, so they wait for a doctor to bring it up first. In most cases, you can book directly and start with an assessment on your own terms. If something has been nagging at you, you do not need anyone's permission to find out what is going on.

If a gap in care has left you feeling like you are back at square one, that is almost certainly not true. The changes that develop through chiropractic care are not simply erased when visits pause. What tends to happen is a gradual drift toward old patterns, and when care resumes, the body typically responds faster than it did at the start. Returning is not starting over.
