Very brief look at progress seen from the first time we did a physical assessment on to our recent follow up session. “Physical handicap” improving as well as many more “green” boxes vs. red! Woot woot!! 👏🏻
A physical and medical (since there has been pain) assessment is carried out to find the specific dysfunctions in a players posture, strength, movement patterns, flexibility, stability etc. to set up a specific program for that player. It emphasizes different things depending on my findings. Once the initial plan was set, there were exercises and stretches directed at these findings. Jimmy carries out an active independent gym program addressing fundamental strength and adds the exercises we plan, changing things up every 4-6weeks. Exercises videoed are only ones that I don’t have of me already doing or already on my TPI app. There’s much more that has gone into his progress over the last 4 months than shown! 💪🏼😊
As a golf instructor himself, Jimmy has so much knowledge and experience regarding the swing, but is also fully invested in how much the body has a role in the swing. If you want to unlock your potential, both things are essential to work on. Educating swing coaches on students physical limitations can also help them know what modifications they may want to add to ensure the player is working with in their physical ability - to avoid injury and improve play.

Shout out to for consistent work and dedication, continuing to want to better himself and work on the body swing connection!!

I’m looking forward to continuing to see physical progress that also carries over to his play as we continue!
