The CDC is continuing to investigate several outbreaks of cyclosporiasis across multiple U.S. states. Here are steps you can take to help protect your family from the parasite. And remember: Careful washing of produce may not completely remove Cyclospora but it can help reduce risk. Be careful in the heat this week! Make sure your children stay hydrated with extra water and avoid spending time outdoors in the middle of the day when temperatures are highest. Take advantage of air conditioned spaces, such as libraries. Be area of signs of heat related illness as well!
