September patient of the month!! ROCCO SESSOMS!We have the pleaure of being able to care for rocco here at KACC and love to see his sweet face every time he walks in. His wonderful owners have been lovely enough to introduce him to you!

Rocco is naturally powerful but doesn’t try to be. His warm brown eyes are expressive and full of personality. His smile is huge and contagious—like one of those kids who grins with his whole face, maybe even a little lopsided, and isn’t shy about it. Personality-wise, he’s outgoing, affectionate, and full of energy. He’s the kind of boy who’s quick to give hugs, lean against people he likes, or wander into someone’s personal space without thinking much of it. Playfully mischievous, he enjoys testing boundaries just to see what happens, though never with any real malice. Beneath his fun-loving nature, he’s deeply loyal and protective, staying close to the people he trusts most and looking out for them whenever he can. Whether he’s running around, playing games, or finding a way to turn an ordinary moment into something fun, he brings an infectious enthusiasm wherever he goes.

Our August 2026 patients of the month! We are super excited to announce these big ole love bugs!

Rooster is a grand dog, both in age and description. He is a hound mix, a lanky legged, floppy eared, big softy. He is gentle and kind and kinda bothered by anything that disrupts his laying in the sun or comfy bed. When not lounging, Rooster still loves to run in a field or sniff though the mangroves and show Janie he can still keep up!

Though they’re good buds, Janie is the classic little sister. As sweet as she is bossy, she steals Rooster’s comfy spots, licks his bowl clean, pushes us all around, and tells those iguanas what-for! Her smoky eyes and velvety ears are some consolation for how often her curiosity gets her into mischief, but my husband swears she’s “almost a good dog.”
