With experience caring for elite athletes and addressing orthopedic needs, I combine sports massage and movement therapy to keep you strong. Navy wife and a mother of two. Miwa earned an A.S. In dietetics while in Japan. She decided to become a massage therapist while raising young athletes. She then realized that younger athletes often need additional physical conditioning at home to prevent inju

ry. In 2017, Miwa completed over 700 hours of massage therapy at Cayce Reilly massage school in Virginia Beach, Virginia. That same year she passed the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) and become a licensed massage therapist. She started her career at A.R.E. Health Center and Spa and remained there for three years. During that time, A.R.E. earned accolades as one of the top 30 U.S. wellness retreats of 2019 according to U.S. News. Miwa also gained experienced working at a Chiropractic office providing therapeutic massage and assisted with rehabilitation. Miwa is also certified in Modern Cupping Therapy®, Sports Massage, Cayce Reilly® Massage, and Yomassage®. Also, she completed Myofascial Release Massage and Myofascial Release Therapy training.
