✈️ Mark your calendars! Wings for Autism® is returning to Phoenix Sky Harbor on October 3, 2026!

This incredible program gives families the opportunity to practice the air travel experience in a supportive environment, including:
✔️ Entering the airport
✔️ Obtaining boarding passes
✔️ Going through TSA security
✔️ Boarding an aircraft

The event is designed to help reduce the stress and uncertainty that individuals with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities may experience when traveling by air.

Hospice care provides compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.

The hospice philosophy accepts death as the final stage of life: it affirms life, but does not try to hasten or postpone death. Hospice care treats the person and symptoms of the disease, rather than treating the disease itself. A team of professionals work together to manage symptoms so that a person’s last days may be spent with dignity and quality, surrounded by their loved ones. Hospice care is also family-centered – it includes the patient and the family in making decisions.

Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness. This type of care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.

Palliative care is provided by a specially-trained team of doctors, nurses and other specialists who work together with a patient’s other doctors to provide an extra layer of support. Palliative care is based on the needs of the patient, not on the patient’s prognosis. It is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness, and it can be provided along with curative treatment.

Seniors are using Social Media to stay in touch with their family members who live all across the United States and abroad. Here are the results of a recent survey on Seniors use of Social Media.

Among these Americans, unlike their younger counterparts, Facebook remains the most-used platform. Some 71% of respondents ages 50 and older reported using Facebook, up from 68% a year earlier.

YouTube continues to be the second-most widely used social platform by this demographic, by 51% (relatively steady from 52% the previous year).

When navigating Facebook, individuals can search for groups of interest to them. These groups can be specific to activities that you enjoy like square dancing, crocheting, model railroads, golf, etc. Sometimes these groups host events that you can plan to join.

You can also follow family member's pages so you can see those grandkids enjoying a trip to an amusement park, taking swimming lessons, getting that new pet, or the first day of school. Memories that you can be apart of and cherish as if you were there.

Just remember to check your privacy settings so that you don't share any of your personal information with individuals with nefarious intentions.
