🎡🎟️ What a way to end Homecoming Week! 🎟️🎡

Today we celebrated the grand finale of Homecoming Week at Asbury Place Kingsport with an incredible 50s-themed carnival! 🩷🩵 From carnival games and prizes to great food and even better company, it was the perfect way to wrap up such a fun-filled week.

A HUGE thank you to our amazing community partners who volunteered their time, helped with our carnival games, and donated some fantastic prizes for our residents to redeem with the tickets they won! 🎟️🎁

Special thanks to Seniors Helping Seniors, Avenues Home Health, Amedisys Home Health, Beltone, Visiting Angels, and Grace Care Pharmacy for helping make today so special. We are incredibly grateful for community partners who continue to show up for our residents! ❤️

Of course, we had to throw it back to the 1950s with a sock-hop and diner-inspired menu! 🍟🥤🎶 Our carnival spread included corn dogs, funnel cake, fries, corn on the cob, turkey legs, tater tots, and plenty of carnival classics—including cotton candy, snow cones, and fresh popcorn provided by our friends at Amedisys! 🍿🎡

Thank you again to everyone who came together to make today’s carnival—and our entire Homecoming Week—such a huge success! We loved seeing our residents enjoying the games, food, music, and festivities all week long.

What a wonderful night at our Homecoming Formal! ✨👑

Our residents dressed to impress and enjoyed an elegant sit-down dinner, fantastic live music by Lightning Charlie, and an evening filled with laughter, dancing and celebration!

A special thank-you to the Dobyns-Bennett cosmetology students who joined us earlier in the day to provide hair and nail services for our residents ahead of the formal. They helped everyone feel extra special and ready for the evening! We would also like to thank the Dobyns-Bennett horticulture department for creating beautifully potted succulents and plants for our residents to enjoy. 💇‍♀️💅🌿

We recognized the winners of our 80s, 70s and 60s themed Best Dressed contests, along with the Best Yard winners from both our villas and apartments. The evening concluded with the crowning of our Homecoming King and Queen, Al Stone and Betty Noah! 👑

Everyone truly dressed the part and made this a night to remember. Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make our Homecoming Formal so special! 💙

We cruised right into the 70s for Day 2 of Homecoming Week! ✌️🚗

Today’s festivities included our Antique & Classic Car Show in partnership with the Dan’l Boone Car Club! Our residents, families, team members, and community guests enjoyed an incredible lineup of cars while soaking up the sunshine and taking a trip down memory lane.

Of course, no car show is complete without good food! Our Dining Department served up hot dogs and all the sides for our attendees to enjoy while checking out the cars.

A huge thank you to the Dan’l Boone Car Club for spending the day with us and helping make our 70s Homecoming celebration one to remember!

Homecoming Week is officially underway at Asbury Place Kingsport! 🎉

We kicked things off today by traveling back to the ’80s and showing off some serious community spirit with our Best Decorated Porch, Yard & Balcony Competition! From decade-inspired fun to festive outdoor spaces, our residents helped make Day 1 a great start to the week.

🚘 Tomorrow, we’re cruising back to the ’70s for our Homecoming Car Show in partnership with the Dan’l Boone Car Club!

Our residents enjoyed a fun day trip to New Market, Tennessee! We stopped for a delicious lunch before visiting Houston’s Mineral Water, a unique local landmark that has been serving the community since 1931.

Of course, we couldn’t leave without filling up on some of the famous mineral water! We love getting out, exploring new places, and discovering a little bit of Tennessee history along the way. 💧☀️

A beautiful day for a very special release! 🦋

Today, our Independent Living residents gathered in the courtyard to release our first monarch butterfly since July. In true East Tennessee fashion, we named her “Dolly” as a tribute to the one and only Dolly Parton! 💛

Our residents enjoyed watching Dolly spread her wings and take flight on this gorgeous day. There’s just something special about slowing down to enjoy one of nature’s little moments together.

Our residents took a trip through our very own “car wash” sprinkler system, and there were plenty of smiles, laughs, and splashes along the way! 🚿😎 Sometimes the best summer memories are made by getting a little wet and having a whole lot of fun.

Low Country Boil Family Night! 🌽🦞🥔🦐

We brought a taste of the Low Country to Baysmont House for our monthly Family Night! Bibs were tied, wet wipes were ready, and everyone dug into a delicious spread of crawfish, potatoes, corn on the cob, and plenty of tasty sides. ❤️

Of course, we saved room for dessert! Cheesecake, red velvet cupcakes, and fresh fruit made for the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful evening spent together.

A big thank you to our incredible staff for making another Family Night so special for our residents and their loved ones. We love creating opportunities to gather around the table, share some laughs, and make memories together!

Our residents enjoyed a special exercise session brought to us by our friends at the YMCA! It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, staying active, and enjoying some movement together. 🙌

We brought a little taste of the islands to Kingsport today with our Luau Social Hour! From tropical treats and festive drinks to plenty of laughter and good company, our residents and guests had a wonderful afternoon enjoying a little island-inspired fun. 🌺🍹

We may be miles from the beach, but today the tropical vibes were right here at Asbury! 🌴☀️
