We finally got to enjoy the beautiful, ripe tomatoes from our garden today! After waiting all season, the harvest was well worth it. Our residents made their own fresh tomato sandwiches, and they were absolutely delicious and so refreshing. Nothing beats the taste of a homegrown goodness!

We were so excited to celebrate National Woody Day. Michael was excited to bring his Woody down to show our residents and tell them the story on it.

"Woody is a 1950 jeep that was made by the Willys Overland Company. It originally had a flat head 6-cylinder engine had a flat that was replaced with a chevy 350 small block engine.
The 3-speed transmission was swapped out for a GM automatic transmission. Woody has a unique air conditioning system; you simply roll down the front. windows, and then open the front wing windows. For even more air, you can open the vent that sits perfectly in the middle of the hood but is close to the windshield.

There is an oversized steering wheel because there isn't any power steering. Woody has the original license plate as well. I found Woody in S Carolina at a friend of a friends house and knew it was coming home with me."

Our residents had a lot of questions for Michael, as they were very interested in Woody. They absolutely enjoyed seeing the Antique car!
