Learning by making. Growing by doing. Making a difference together.
Our satellite shop at Ramapo for Children in Rhinebeck is back in full swing for the new program year!
Ramapo’s year-round post-high-school program gives participants opportunities to build work and life skills while gaining real-world experience. Through our partnership, participants contribute directly to ADHV’s mission by creating adaptive devices that will make a meaningful difference in people’s everyday lives.
We’re welcoming new participants, building foundational skills, and getting everyone comfortable in the shop by making some basic but essential devices—including weighted blocks, cat scratch boxes, and iPad and book easels.
Each project is an opportunity to practice measuring, cutting, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail. And these aren’t just practice projects: they’re tools designed to support real people in their daily lives.
Next up? A custom wheelchair tray is already in progress for an elementary school student in Valley Central School District to use in the classroom! ♿️
We’re proud to be part of a program where learning and meaningful contribution go hand in hand. Here’s to another year of creativity, growth, and making things happen together!
