An update from Velvaere Nordic Spa.
Many of you have asked why bookings are suddenly paused, so we wanted to share a quick update.
We’ve temporarily closed while we work through a regulatory review process with local and state health authorities. Because our sauna experience includes a hot tub and cold plunge, the facility has been classified under the same regulations that apply to public swimming pools and large commercial spa facilities.
As a small, family-run sauna experience that typically hosts just one private group at a time (often only 1–2 people), this process has come as a surprise. We’re currently working to understand what the path forward looks like.
Velvaere has always been about creating a simple Nordic-style wellness experience here in our community, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support so many of you have shown.
For now, bookings will remain paused while we navigate this process, but we’ll keep everyone updated as we learn more.
