Safe Baby Tip of the Week

Babies may have more than one caregiver, but every caregiver should follow the same safe sleep plan.

Grandparents, babysitters, child care providers, family members, and friends may not always know the most up-to-date safe sleep recommendations unless we talk about them.

Sharing safe sleep information helps everyone work together to keep babies safer every nap and every night.

đź’™ The Preston County Health Department is proud to wear BLUE in support of Men's Health Month! đź’™

Did you know? Men in the United States are less likely than women to seek preventive healthcare services and are more likely to delay medical care, even when experiencing symptoms. Regular checkups and preventive screenings can help detect health concerns early and improve overall quality of life.

Today, our staff is wearing blue to raise awareness about the importance of men's physical and mental health. Taking care of your health is not a sign of weakness. It is one of the most important investments you can make for yourself and your family.

This Men's Health Month, we encourage all men to:
âś” Schedule an annual checkup
âś” Know your blood pressure numbers
âś” Stay physically active
âś” Prioritize mental health
âś” Talk with your healthcare provider about recommended screenings

Join us by wearing blue, sharing this message, and encouraging the men in your life to make their health a priority.
