Saccades are such an important visual skill for movement prediction.
If this system isn’t functioning well, your brain has to work harder to predict where you are in space and keep focus on targets.
That extra effort can show up as symptoms like:
fatigue, anxiety, pain, dizziness, motion sensitivity, and balance issues.
👀 Vision is our brain’s number one sensory input, so the brain cares deeply about the quality of visual information coming in. When those signals are unclear or inefficient, the nervous system notices.
At its core, behavior is often a reflection of nervous system state. The better our brain can predict the world around us, the safer we feel.
And when we feel safer, we tend to move better, think clearer, and even show up with more patience and connection in our relationships. 🫶
🧠As a movement professional obsessed with applied neurology, this is one of my favorite areas to explore. I consider myself an “input enthusiast”helping people understand the messages their body is sending through pain, posture, performance, dizziness, and stress patterns so we can create lasting change from the inside out.
