We’re proud to have sponsored and attended the We Choose Kirkland Luncheon, hosted by the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce, celebrating the people and partnerships that make Kirkland such a vibrant and connected community.

A special highlight of the event was hearing from Fairfax Behavioral Health’s own Dr. Robert Beatty, whose insights underscored the importance of accessible behavioral healthcare and the role we all play in supporting the well-being of our communities. We were also honored to hear from Kirkland Mayor Kelli Curtis and Dr. Jeremy Johnson of Northwest University.

We are grateful to be part of a community that values collaboration, compassion and a shared commitment to helping individuals and families thrive. Thank you to the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce for bringing together local leaders dedicated to choosing Kirkland and investing in its future.

It was an honor for Fairfax Behavioral Health to support State Senator Manka Dhingra Annual Strengthening Communities Breakfast—an inspiring morning dedicated to collaboration, leadership and a shared commitment to building healthier, more connected communities.

We were grateful to hear from guest speaker Vanessa Kritzer, Redmond City Council Member, whose insights highlighted the importance of local leadership and community engagement. The event also offered valuable perspectives from Kristen Ang, Commissioner at the Port of Tacoma; Tyler Crone, Chair of the 36th District Democrats; and Sarah Rafton, Associate Principal. Their thoughtful discussion reinforced that meaningful change happens when leaders across sectors come together with a common purpose.

Thank you to Sen. Manka Dhingra and everyone involved in organizing this impactful event. Together, we can continue strengthening the connections that make our communities more resilient, compassionate and hopeful.

June is Men’s Health Month—a time to raise awareness about the importance of physical, mental and emotional well-being for men and boys everywhere. At Fairfax Behavioral Health, we recognize that mental health is an essential part of overall health.

Too often, stigma, societal expectations and misconceptions prevent men from seeking the support they need. This month, we encourage open conversations, self-care and reaching out for help when it’s needed.

Together, we can break down barriers, promote understanding and create a culture where seeking help is encouraged and supported.

Fairfax was honored to host its first Executive Series presentation—an engaging event focused on AI in mental health care. The session was presented by Dr. Anthony R. Pisani, Ph.D., ABPP, a nationally recognized speaker, researcher, and advocate for advancing mental health conversations and care from SafeSide Prevention and the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Dr. Pisani shared valuable insights on the evolving role of AI in behavioral health, the importance of maintaining human connection in care delivery, and how innovation can support clinicians, patients, and communities alike.

Thank you to our community partners who attended and contributed to such a meaningful discussion about the future of mental health care. Fairfax plans to host two to three of these events annually, and we are proud to continue fostering conversations that inspire innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care.
