Past Experience:
• Adjunct professor at Saint Louis University, in teaching theories and practice in psychotherapy, specialized in taking theory and putting it into practice in sessions with pediatric patients.
In order to gain a full understanding of working with children in a mental health setting, guidance and materials are provided for treatment of children with:
• Mood disorders,
• Anxiety disorders (separation anxiety, panic attacks, general anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, OCD, Tourette syndrome, phobias, grief, etc.),

Training Includes:
• How to use a template for creating unique, personalized therapeutic children’s story. The story is designed to empower children to become the boss of themselves and give themselves the gift of self-soothing and social skills. This child friendly storybook incorporates cutting edge neuropsychology and hope based, solution focused therapy.
1. Each book is taken home by the child to ensure continuity of
care between sessions and so that the family can learn to use
the reframed, empowering language.
2. The book informally acts as a useful tool as part of the
treatment plan.
• A treatment focus, which puts the child in charge to outsmart the difficult “puzzles” (problems) in their lives.
1. Naming the puzzles.
2. Each puzzle has its own creative intervention in child friendly
language with hands on experiential materials to help with right
brain learning.
• Ability to create a nurturing, holding environment which mindfully engages the child in play, so they feel safe to open up and interact.
• How to implement multiple, inexpensive, simple experiential therapeutic crafts.
• Use of therapeutic materials collected over her years in practice (puppets, toys, handouts, books, sandbox plus miniatures, etc…) for each intervention, as well as office furniture set up (waiting room, playroom, and office spaces)
• Upon Dr. Cat’s retirement (5-8 years), these therapeutic materials, books, and office set up can potentially be acquired at a nominal fee for permanent ownership going forward.
• Ongoing referral resources with pediatricians.
• How to submit insurance claims.
Potential to create/start/take over the practice, using the expertise you have learned.
