My name is Evelyn Rivera & it seems today that I have been in this battle with adhesion forever. For many years I had been treated for the pains & discomforts that adhesions cause with no clear diagnostic being sent home with little & at times no hope. Since adhesions cannot be seen in images as ct scan or mri I never had an answer to the culprit of the pain. In 2008 I went in the operating room f
or an exploratory which turned in to a laparotomy 6 days later when I was lucid I was told I had adhesion & what they are. I recovered well resumed my normal life until March 2011 when the vicious pain stroke me again I have since gone in to surgery 7 times in a 9 month period of time. Only to be told that I have to learn how to live with pain for the rest of my life. I lost my dreams, my career, many friends & relationship & even myself. As I started my journey of testing different medications, food & finding myself. I found myself at one specific point surrendering myself to the arms of my FAITH & found my peace. I recently experienced 9 pain free days I am praying for more to come. United in prayers to make this organization strong to assist research in finding a cure & advancing images so the web of adhesion can be seen in time.
