🎉At AcuMed Group, we see miracles in the simplest moments.

Today, one of my patients shared something that truly moved me. He has two large spinal lymphomas, the kind that doctors are afraid to remove because doing so could leave him paralyzed. These tumors run in his family, his mother had them and passed away when they became cancerous, and his brother also lives with them.

For years, he has been taking over 30 pills a day just to function.

Last week was his very first visit with me…
And today he walked in and told me:

✨ He has already reduced 16 pills per day.
✨ For the first time in years, his stomach did not hurt after eating.
✨ He has lived on soft foods, soup, pudding, oatmeal, because he could not tolerate anything acidic.
✨ Two days ago, he ate a hamburger with tomatoes… and felt fine.
✨ This week, he’s excited to try pizza for the first time in years.

These are the victories that remind me why I do this work. Changing lives doesn’t always require invasive procedures. Sometimes, it begins with compassionate, holistic care and the right treatment plan.

I am so grateful to support him on this journey.
And so proud of his progress already. 💛

Today was one of those moments that remind me why I do what I do.

A young man came into my clinic asking if he could use my electricity to cut hair. I was a little confused, cut whose hair? Until I stepped outside and saw a line of homeless individuals on their bikes waiting patiently.

All he wanted was to plug in his clippers using my outside outlet so he could give free haircuts to those in need. Of course, I said yes.

I had extra food and coffee left from our Veterans Day celebration, so I brought it all out, and soon there was a line around the block. Smiles, gratitude, and warmth filled the air through one simple act of kindness.

Today, on Veterans Day, I am reminded of what this day truly represents: giving, serving, and honoring the sacrifices made for us.
I honor all who served, especially my father. And I truly believe angels walk among us, sometimes they come disguised as people just to see where your heart lies.

Today, I think I passed the test.

Hoy fue uno de esos momentos que me recuerdan por qué hago lo que hago.
Un joven entró a mi clínica y me pidió si podía usar mi electricidad para cortar cabello. Me quedé un poco confundida, ¿cortar el cabello de quién? Hasta que salí y vi una fila de personas sin hogar en sus bicicletas esperando pacientemente.

Lo único que quería era conectar su máquina en mi toma de corriente exterior para ofrecer cortes de cabello gratis a quienes lo necesitaban. Por supuesto que le dije que sí.

Tenía comida y café extra de nuestra celebración del Día de los Veteranos, así que los saqué y pronto había una fila alrededor de la cuadra. Sonrisas, gratitud y calidez llenaron el ambiente gracias a un simple acto de bondad.

Hoy, en el Día de los Veteranos, recuerdo lo que realmente representa este día: dar, servir y honrar los sacrificios que se hicieron por nosotros.

Honro a todos los que sirvieron, especialmente a mi padre. Y creo firmemente que los ángeles caminan entre nosotros, a veces vienen disfrazados de personas solo para ver dónde realmente está tu corazón.

Hoy creo que pasé la prueba.
