Big News for Tennessee Family Caregivers!

Tennessee’s new Caring for Caregivers Act is now in effect!

This new law establishes a pilot grant program to help eligible family caregivers of loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Depending on eligibility and available funding, caregivers may receive financial assistance for things like:

Respite care
Medical equipment and supplies
Home modifications that improve safety and accessibility
Other caregiving expenses

As someone who has spent years working in healthcare and senior care, I know caregiving is one of the most selfless jobs a person can have. It can also be emotionally, physically, and financially overwhelming.

If you or someone you know is caring for a loved one, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My goal through Rebecca Kiger Consulting is to connect families with resources, answer questions, and help make the journey a little easier.

A gentle reminder for the caregivers, daughters, sons, spouses, and family members carrying so much right now...
Sometimes the strongest person in the family is also the most exhausted.
The one making appointments.
The one checking medications.
The one answering late-night phone calls.
The one worrying about everyone else while trying to hold their own life together.
If that's you, please hear this:
You don't have to have all the answers.
You don't have to carry everything alone.
Asking for help is not weakness.
Taking care of yourself is not selfish.
Caregiving is one of the greatest acts of love, but even caregivers need support.
Today, give yourself a little grace.
You're doing more than you realize. You're helping more than you know.
And you deserve support too. 🫶🏽
