In researching the archives of the Free Medical Clinic of America for Dr. Kim's tribute, we found some beautiful pics of him tending to a garden behind our clinic. I like to think of him as waving at all of us down here reminding us to find compassion driven purpose and to be of service to others. I bet him & Dolly are having grand ole' time up there.

Our pilot Food Rx Program has been a hit.
Here is Daniella working on set up thanks to the American Heart Association, Second Harvest, and the TN Safety Net Program. The healthy food you see here, was snapped up within 48 hours by our patients. We look forward to growing the resource!

We just finished our first year of launching our Diabetes Clinic. We are super excited to report that 100% of attendees achieved reduced A1c levels and 11% moved to a pre-diabetes level. Way to go and thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Lewis and Dr. Chloe Warren at the PharmD program!

It is with deep sadness that we learned of Dr. Tom Kim's passing last night. He was, and will remain, an inspiration. We will miss his visits at the clinic and his stories of his incredible life. We are honored to continue his mission and legacy of service to the community.

The groundbreaking is finally here! While we wait for the upcoming, freestanding building right next to the campus to be completed, we have expanded our temporary clinic hours. Come visit us inside the PSCC building at 1610 Magnolia Ave, open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and now Thursdays!

This National Diabetes Month, Kim Health Center would like to thank UT Medical Center's Pharmacy Department for partnering with us in our newest program: a diabetes clinic. 13.8% of Tennesseans are diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, which can lead to complications in heart disease and hypertension. Remember, a good way to prevent or manage your diabetes is maintaining a well-balanced diet with low carb and sugar intake.
