The Founders Award is one of the most prestigious honors at Groups. Created in the spirit of our founder, it recognizes leaders annually who carry forward the belief that access to care, equity in healthcare, and high-quality treatment for all should drive everything we do.
Each year, members of our Senior Leadership Team submit thoughtful nominations and vote to recognize leaders who truly embody this mission. Those nominations are reviewed by our CEO, Cooper, and our executive team, and two recipients are selected to join the growing legacy of leaders who represent the very best of Groups.
This year, we were honored to present the Founders Award to Cody Gajnos.
Cody’s nominations came from leaders all across the company and reflected the deep impact he has on the people and teams around him. Colleagues described his exceptional organizational skills, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to learning and growth. He brings his heart to work every day, balancing many priorities while remaining calm, thoughtful, and innovative.
More than anything, Cody leads with compassion and purpose. He creates an environment where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to do their best work. Whether navigating challenges or celebrating successes, he is a steady presence and a connector across teams. Cody doesn’t just talk about our values -he lives them. His leadership reflects the very spirit on which Groups was founded.
