What an incredible week at the Senior Helpers 2026 Annual Conference! Tucson did not disappoint! 🎉

We loved connecting with Senior Helpers leaders from across the country, learning from industry experts, and bringing home fresh ideas for the year ahead.

A special highlight was seeing Lisa Hooper recognized for her outstanding work building meaningful community partnerships. Lisa also joined the Business Development panel, sharing her experience and insight with leaders from across the organization.

Lisa, we’re so proud of you! 👏

And most importantly, thank you to our entire team — caregivers, nurses, coordinators, schedulers, leaders, and support staff — for everything you’ve done to make this year so successful. Your dedication makes a difference every day. ❤️

One team. One mission. One vision.

Here’s to an exciting year ahead! 💙

Myth: memory decline is an unavoidable part of aging that cannot be influenced.

Fact: research says otherwise. A study of more than 45,000 older adults found that social activity participation and intellectual engagement are significant predictors of cognitive function in later life. Put simply, how you spend your time matters for your brain.

Staying socially connected, mentally engaged, and physically active can support cognitive wellness at any age. Learning something new, playing a game, or having a regular conversation with a friend all count.

Tag someone who keeps their mind sharp. 🧠

As we age, the body's natural thirst signal becomes less reliable, which makes it easy to become dehydrated without realizing it. Here are three simple ways to stay on top of it.

💧 Keep a water bottle within reach throughout the day — out of sight, out of mind.

🍋 Add fruit or a squeeze of lemon for flavor — it makes water more enjoyable and easier to drink consistently.

⏰ Set a reminder on your phone or watch — a small nudge goes a long way when thirst cues are not as reliable as they used to be.

Save this post and share it with someone who could use the reminder. 📌

Healthy Aging Tip #5: Keep In Touch with Friends and Family

Social connection is one of the most powerful tools for healthy aging, and it is easy to let it slip. Reach out to a friend, neighbor, or family member you have not spoken to recently. A short conversation can lift both of your days.
