Our commitment to the McKenzie Method goes beyond the Certified McKenzie therapists already practicing across East Tennessee Spine & Sport. Weโ€™re continually investing in the education and training of our team to develop even more.

Recently, several ETSS therapists took another step in that process by participating in the McKenzie Method Part B course hosted by Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville.

Continuing education like this is how we strengthen the level of specialized care available across our clinics and continue building on ETSSโ€™s position as home to the most Certified McKenzie therapists in East Tennessee.

We are excited to share some big progress for our Parkinsonโ€™s Disease and Movement Disorder Program at East Tennessee Spine & Sport!

We now have five LSVT BIG Certified Clinicians across our team, providing specialized treatment for individuals with Parkinsonโ€™s disease and other movement disorders that can benefit from the LSVT BIG approach.

LSVT BIG focuses on improving movement, balance, mobility and confidence through individualized, evidence-based treatment.

Our LSVT BIG Certified Clinicians are currently available at our Bearden, Hardin Valley and Lenoir City clinics.

Today, East Tennessee Spine & Sport had the opportunity to visit the University of Tennesseeโ€™s Facilities Services Wellness Fair!

We spent the day talking with UT employees about the physical demands of their jobs, ways to stay active and help prevent injuries while working, and how physical therapy can help keep them moving and feeling their best. We also answered questions about PT and shared a little about ETSS and our history of serving East Tennessee for more than 30 years.

We love opportunities like this to get out into our community, have meaningful conversations and be a resource for the people who keep Knoxville running.

๐ŸŽช Career Carnival at Pellissippi State

Yesterday, East Tennessee Spine & Sport spent the afternoon at Pellissippi State Community College, talking with students about careers in physical therapy and the broader healthcare field.

We loved connecting with underclassmen, answering questions and sharing a look at where a career in PT can take them. Of course, we also had plenty of swag, games and even got a pick with the mascot!

Being part of the East Tennessee community means more to us than providing great physical therapy. It means showing up, building relationships and being a resource for the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Today Pri led an educational session at our Bearden clinic to introduce East Tennessee Spine & Sportโ€™s Parkinsonโ€™s Disease/LSVT BIG program to clinicians from across our company.

The presentation gave our team a deeper understanding of treating Parkinsonโ€™s disease while helping therapists work toward LSVT BIG certification. As we continue expanding this specialized program, weโ€™re strengthening our ability to provide evidence-based care for people living with Parkinsonโ€™s disease.
