On World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, we're highlighting the important role hospice and palliative care play in helping patients and families navigate serious illness.

Both hospice and palliative care focus on comfort, quality of life and support, helping patients receive care that aligns with their goals and wishes. Palliative care can begin at diagnosis and alongside treatment. Hospice care is typically chosen when treatment is no longer working or a patient decides to stop curative treatment for a terminal illness, shifting the focus to comfort, quality of life and support for both the patient and their loved ones.

After 14 incredible years, we are saying goodbye to Holly as she begins a new chapter.

Today we celebrated Holly and thanked her for the many years she has devoted to our team. While we will certainly miss her, we are grateful for the memories, the friendships, and the difference she has made over the years.

Holly has served our team as both a Physical Therapist and Clinical Manager, making a lasting impact on our patients, families, and staff. Her compassion, leadership, dedication, and commitment to providing exceptional care have been a true blessing to everyone who has had the opportunity to work alongside her.

I have been a nurse for 13 years now. I worked as a CNA 2 years before that. I have done all different types of nursing jobs from the clinic, short and long term rehab, hospital and now home health. I never thought home health would be as rewarding as it is.

Seeing patients in acute and chronic situations medically and helping them through these hard times on a personal level gives a whole new meaning to being a nurse. Getting to help patients on a routine basis through wound care, medications and daily life is such a blessing to me. It’s not only about the medical for me but also getting to know patients and their families personally. Loving their family and them loving mine is again such a blessing!

I can not thank God enough for placing me in this position with the best patients and also the best co-workers❤️
