The New Tazewell office and Claiborne County acknowledge the death of Mayor Joe Brooks. We extend condolences to his associates and family. Mr. Brooks served as a local advocate focused on regional development and his professional contributions impacted the community. A candlelight vigil is scheduled for this Friday evening in Claiborne County to honor his service. Public attendance is permitted for those who wish to observe the event. Our prayers are with his family, friends, and all his co-workers. ❤️
