Deb Coursey sent us this sweet picture today of her dropping off the basket she won at KCNH for The Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Abingdon-Avon School! 💜

What makes this even more special is seeing that basket come full circle. One act of kindness leading to another and helping support the students in our community. 💛🖤

There’s something incredibly special about knowing you made even one person’s day a little brighter. 🌞
Sometimes, it’s as simple as helping provide the ingredients for a birthday cake. It may seem like a small gesture, but to someone else, it can mean so much.
Kindness doesn’t have to be grand or complicated. A helping hand, a thoughtful gesture, or simply doing something to make someone smile can create a ripple effect that reaches farther than we may ever know.
Wouldn’t the world be a better place if everyone made it a goal to do at least one kind, pay-it-forward act every day? 💕
Be the reason someone’s day is a little better today. You never know how much your small act of kindness might mean. 🫶

Several members of the Prairie Land Senior Focus Group dropped off 50 birthday cake boxes to be shared with our guests. This was one of their service projects. Each cake box contains a cake pan, a cake mix, a soda, a can of frosting, candles, paper plates, and a note with baking instructions and birthday wishes. Several of these boxes were distributed today. One will be going to a young lady named Liberty. She will be 8 and her Mom said she will be so thrilled to have this cake. Many thanks to the Prairie Land Focus Group for bringing joy to our guests!!

August 12th update: we have distributed 11 birthday cake boxes to our guests with an August birthday.🎂
