Region 2 EMS Directors Association The Region II EMS Directors Association represents a 16 county area of beautiful East Tennessee.

The Tennessee Region II EMS (R2EMS) Directors Association is composed of ambulance service, emergency medical service, rescue, aeromedical and hospital agencies located in East Tennessee. We are a not-for-profit organization chartered by the State of Tennessee. Besides this website, R2EMS directors sponsor a medical symposium providing up-to-date medical training for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physicians and other allied medical professionals.

The Region 2 EMS Directors Association is proud to announce Jaden Purkey from Jefferson County EMS as a recipient of our $2,500.00 paramedic scholarship. Jaden will be attending Walter State Community College this fall.

Today, the Region 2 Directors Association celebrated the retirement of former President and current Vice-President Brad Phillips. Director Phillips has served 34 years in EMS and 21 years as Director of Jefferson County EMS. We wish him the best of health and happiness is his retirement!!
