Our theme is Celebrating Our Seniors, with Grandparents Day and National Assisted Living Week giving us even more reason to celebrate the people at the heart of our communities. 💚

Morning Pointe in Motion is headed (virtually) to Munich, Germany, for its famous pretzels and Oktoberfest fare. Football season is back, too! We’ll also recognize Housekeeping Week while pausing for important observances, including 9/11, World Alzheimer’s Day, and Falls Prevention Awareness Day.

🐶🦴 The taste testers gave these homemade treats their approval!

As our Dog Days of Summer theme comes to an end, residents made dog treats to deliver to Young-Williams Animal Center.

The best part was getting to share them with the pups themselves, who were more than happy to put the residents’ recipe to the test. Judging by how quickly the treats disappeared, we’d call them a success! 🐾❤️

🎣☀️ No fish this time, but we’d still call it a pretty great catch of a day!

Residents headed to The Cove at Concord for an afternoon of fishing by the lake, with volunteers Eddie and Callum serving as our fishing experts and, importantly, handling the bait! 😊

The fish may not have been biting, but the beautiful weather and time spent together made the trip well worth it.

🦋💐 Flowers left for Dolly are now bringing a little piece of her to seniors across East Tennessee.

Following Dolly Parton’s passing, flowers were left at her statue in Sevierville as tributes from people who wanted to say thank you and goodbye. Through Random Acts of Flowers, those flowers are now being repurposed into new bouquets and shared with seniors and others throughout the Knoxville area.

Morning Pointe is especially proud to be part of that story through Megan Dunaway, Community Relations Director at Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley and a Random Acts of Flowers board member. Megan helped collect and repurpose the tributes, with some of the bouquets making their way to residents in our Knoxville-area Morning Pointe communities. 💜

As Megan shared with WATE 6 On Your Side, “Everybody is just so excited that they have a little piece of Dolly, too, that they can share with other people.”

What began as a goodbye to Dolly is now bringing a little joy to someone else. We can’t think of a more fitting way for these flowers to live on. 🦋

Our Morning Pointe Senior Living Business Office Directors came together this week in Ooltewah, TN, for their annual conference, with time to reconnect, share best practices, strengthen processes, and learn alongside colleagues who understand the many details their roles require.

These leaders help keep so much running smoothly within each community, supporting residents, families, associates, and fellow department leaders through the work they do every day.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring this team together, share ideas, and send everyone home reenergized for the work ahead.
