Happy 5 Year Anniversary to the wonderful, Debbie Thompson!

Debbie’s work as a billing specialist is the kind of behind‑the‑scenes magic that keeps everything moving.

Accuracy, consistency, patience, and a deep understanding of ABA services aren’t just part of her job, they’re her superpowers. She makes sure families get the support they need, clinicians can focus on care, and our entire system runs smoothly day after day.

Five years of dedication, problem‑solving, and heart have made a real impact. Debbie, thank you for bringing excellence to every detail, for supporting our mission, and for being such a steady, trusted part of our team.

We appreciate you Debbie, and happy 5 years with Hope Behavioral Services!

This week is Invisible Disabilities Week!

This week honors the millions of people who live with disabilities that aren’t immediately visible but deeply shape their daily lives.

Invisible disabilities can involve chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, mental health conditions, learning disabilities, migraines, and so much more. You can’t always see what someone is navigating, but their experiences are real, valid, and deserving of compassion, support, and accessibility.

In Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), invisible disabilities are part of everyday practice. Many autistic individuals with sensory or learning differences experience challenges that aren’t outwardly noticeable, but profoundly impact communication, regulation, and independence. When ABA is individualized, respectful, and rooted in understanding internal experiences, not just external behaviors, it becomes a powerful tool for helping people thrive in ways that feel safe, authentic, and sustainable.

Let’s build a world where invisible doesn’t mean overlooked, and where every story is honored!

Happy National Train Your Brain Day!

Today is all about celebrating the incredible power of your mind and the lifelong journey of learning, growing, and strengthening the skills that help you navigate the world.

Just like our bodies benefit from movement, our brains thrive when we challenge them, stretch them, and give them opportunities to build new connections. Whether you’re trying a new hobby, practicing mindfulness, solving puzzles, or learning a fresh skill, every moment of mental engagement helps your brain become more flexible, resilient, and confident.

In the world of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), “training your brain” is something we see every single day. ABA is rooted in the science of how learning happens, how the brain forms new pathways, how behavior communicates needs, and how small, consistent practice leads to meaningful change.

Through ABA, we break big goals into achievable steps, celebrate progress, and teach strategies that help the brain work more efficiently and calmly. And just as importantly, ABA empowers caregivers and teams with tools that make learning feel supportive, structured, and successful.

Here’s to curiosity, resilience, and the amazing brains that help us learn, live, and thrive!

Today is World Mental Health Day!

Today is about reducing stigma, encouraging open conversations, and recognizing that mental wellness is a journey shaped by community, compassion, and connection. Whether it’s managing stress, navigating big emotions, or finding healthy coping strategies, mental health matters for all of us.

In the world of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), mental health plays a central role. ABA professionals support individuals by teaching meaningful skills that strengthen emotional regulation, communication, independence, and daily coping.

We help people identify what their behavior may be communicating, build tools to manage tough moments, and create environments that support success. ABA also empowers caregivers and teams, giving them strategies to respond with consistency, confidence, and compassion. When mental health and behavior support work hand‑in‑hand, individuals can thrive in ways that honor their strengths, needs, and lived experiences.

Today is a reminder to check in with yourself, check in with others, and celebrate every step toward wellness, big or small. Mental health is not a destination; it’s a lifelong practice of caring for yourself and the people around you.

You are worthy of support, rest, and understanding!
