Coroner's Report:
There were18 accidental deaths in Howard County recently. Six were the result of drug overdose. Drugs involved include methamphetamine, co***ne, ketamine, and difluoroethane gas.

Community Howard accepting medications April 25
Community Howard Regional Health is pleased to present a safe way to dispose of expired or unwanted medications. Drop off medications outside the main entrance of the Community Surgery Center, on the east side of Community Howard Regional Health. Security will be present to take back the medications.

The hospital will accept prescriptions, over-the-counter pills, liquid medications, vitamins, or pet medicines. It cannot accept mercury (thermometers), chemotherapy/radioactive substances, oxygen containers, pressurized containers/inhalers, needles/sharps, or illicit drugs.

The prescription take-back will occur on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Community Surgery Center-Howard, 3503 S. Reed Road, Kokomo, IN 46902
