🎉 Congratulations to Michelle Bourland, CNA, for being chosen as our July Whatever It Takes Champion! 👏 Michelle was nominated by one of her co-workers and a resident. Her co-worker observed Michelle taking the time to assist residents with a smile and a really good attitude, even when it time for her to go on her break. Michelle's other nomination was from one of her residents for her exceptional care and for always being so friendly, kind and loving. We are so blessed to have Michelle and this award is very well deserved. Congratulations, and thanks for all you do! 🩷

There is no bad time for watermelon, but it just seems to taste better when it's hot outside! 🍉 This week and last, it felt like over 100 degrees outside according to the heat index. 😮 Residents and staff got to enjoy some of the sweetest watermelon while staying cool inside. Summer Lynn joined in on the fun and passed out little watermelon plushies to our residents. We can't thank her enough for always helping with our activities — she is the best and we all love her! Special thanks to Shannon, our Activities Director, for slicing all the watermelons.

🎓 Everyone help us congratulate Teanna Hamilton (CNA) for passing the National Registry for EMT_B this month! 🩺

She volunteered for 6 months before she took the class, which lasted 5 months. We are so proud of Teanna and can't wait to see what the future holds for her in her new position. 🚑

Roslyn Fraser, LPN, is our June Whatever It Takes Champion! 🎉 Roslyn was nominated by one of her co-workers. There is always a smile on Roslyn's face, and her laugh is contagious. She goes out of her way to cultivate caring relationships with her residents and staff. She organizes a monthly birthday potluck with presents for night shift, bakes sourdough bread in her spare time and shares it with staff, and approaches every situation with a positive outlook. She will even come in to work the floor as a CNA when needed. Her devotion and love for our residents truly shows in everything she does. Congratulations, Roslyn, on this well-deserved award! ❤️

🏆 Congratulations to Vanessa McClure (Business Office Manager) and Miranda Coffman (Accounting Clerk) for their 2 awards for their work in 2025!

The first one is for A/R Excellence, and the second one is for RFC Choice Award. This is the 4th year that our Business Office received these awards. We are so proud of the work they do and the dedication they have. Make sure to congratulate them. Thanks for all you girls do for our residents and their families! 🫶

✨ Last week we took a few of our residents to the Pamhac Purchase Area Mental Health and Aging Coalition Elder Abuse Awareness Day Celebration. They got to play bingo (2 of our residents won), we all enjoyed the ice cream bar 🍨, and everyone got a treat bag to take with them. 😄

The two guest speakers provided lots of good information. This is the first time our residents were able to participate, and they had a blast! 👍

We celebrated Father's Day with a fish dinner from Smokey D's Family Restaurant! 🐟♨️ All of our men really enjoyed their meal and visiting with each other. It was a beautiful day, so they had lunch outside and shared many stories. 💙
