Why do summer pimples hurt SO bad? ☀️

Heat, humidity, sweat, extra oil, sunscreen... summer can be a perfect storm for acne-prone skin. And when inflammation happens deeper beneath the surface, those breakouts can hurt before you even see much of them.

Managing summer acne is all about balance. The right acne-fighting actives matter, but so do lightweight hydration, calming and healing ingredients, and non-comedogenic products that support healthy, balanced skin.

Consistency matters too. Think 80/20—what you do at home every day plays the biggest role, while professional treatments help support your progress.

If you notice more painful breakouts especially now, at the end of the summer, let’s create a plan tailored to your skin. 🤍

My skincare picks for this trip. ✈️

Hydrating cleanser, balancing toner, vitamin C serum with hyaluronic acid and ferulic acid, a hydrating moisturizer, and HOP+ Cushion SPF to top it all off.

Plus a swipe of mascara, a little blush, a touch of lip oil… and I’m ready for whatever the day brings. 🤍

Want to know which of these actually belong in your routine?

No two skins are the same. A product that works beautifully for someone else may not be what your skin needs. That’s why every recommendation is personalized, based on your skin, your concerns, and your goals, not what’s trending online.

Not sure which products are right for your skin? Let me help you find the perfect fit.

Did you know that about 80% of visible skin aging is linked to sun exposure—even on cloudy days?

Not genetics. Not just time. The sun.

Fine lines, dark spots, and uneven texture are often the result of cumulative UV damage over the years.

That’s why SPF is a non-negotiable. It helps protect your skin from damage you can’t always see today but may notice years from now.

Not sure which sunscreen is right for your skin? Book a skincare consultation, and let’s find the best fit for your skin and lifestyle.

Some products I was running low on—especially cleansers for sensitive skin—are officially back in stock! 🎉

✨ Sensitive cleansers in various sizes
✨ Clarifying cleansers
✨ Hydrating cleansers
✨ Calming toners
✨ Moisturizers
✨ …and travel kits!

A cleanser is the very first product that touches your skin every day. Starting with the right one helps set the tone for the rest of your skincare routine.

Woot, woot! I sure love a good cleanser—and convenient sizes make me even happier. 🤍

Retinoids are some of the most common ingredients for improving acne, pigmentation, and signs of aging—but they also make the skin more reactive to professional exfoliation. 🤍

Not all retinoids work the same.

Retinol esters (such as retinyl palmitate) require three conversions before becoming retinoic acid, making them the gentlest and slowest-acting option.

Retinol requires two conversions, offering a balance between efficacy and tolerability.

Retinal (retinaldehyde) requires just one conversion, making it more potent than retinol with a greater potential for irritation.

Retinoic acid (Tretinoin/Retin-A/ prescription) is already in its active form, so it requires no conversion. It’s also the most potent and most likely to cause dryness, flaking, and sensitivity.

Many newer retinol/retinal formulas also contain micro-spicules, which enhance ingredient delivery and can further increase skin stimulation.

If you’re scheduled for a professional facial that includes exfoliation, it’s generally recommended to discontinue retinoids beforehand:
• Retinol esters: 3–5 days
• Retinol: 5–7 days
• Retinal: 7–10 days
• Retinoic acid (Retin-A/Tretinoin): At least 14 days

These are general guidelines and may vary depending on the treatment being performed, the strength of the product, and your skin’s sensitivity. Be sure to mention any retinoid you’re currently using when booking an exfoliating facial so your treatment can be planned safely. 🤍

Not every skincare ingredient serves the same purpose.
Some help defend against environmental stress. Others replenish hydration, calm visible irritation, or support healthier, more resilient skin.

When air quality is poor, your skin may benefit from ingredients like antioxidants, ceramides, centella asiatica, sodium hyaluronate, PDRN, and peptides—working together to help keep your skin balanced and supported.

The best routine isn’t about using the most products—it’s about using the right products for your skin.
