Earlier this week, I spent a day in La Junta touring Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center and learning more about the challenges and opportunities facing rural healthcare. I finished the evening providing a legislative update to the La Junta City Council and discussing issues important to our communities.

Our team provides a variety of infusion and injection services, including treatments for iron deficiency anemia, chronic kidney disease, autoimmune conditions, dehydration, infections, osteoporosis, and more. Additional services include blood and platelet transfusions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lab draws, PICC line care, and port maintenance.

Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center recently recognized Gary Gibson for nearly seven years of dedicated service to the AVRMC Board of Directors, from July 1, 2019, through May 31, 2026.

“I’ve been lucky to serve on various boards, but none to the caliber of this one,” Gibson shared. “It’s been a wonderful experience for me.”

Gary was joined by his wife, Dana, AVRMC Board of Directors Vice Chair Rob Pickering, AVRMC CEO Ron Hogan, and employees from throughout the organization for the recognition.

“Thank you for your service and your leadership,” Hogan said.
