Congratulations, Diana Windsor, on your Shining Star for Patient Safety Award 🌟

Diana Windsor, RT, is the kind of respiratory care practitioner who never stops paying attention, and it made all the difference in a critical moment.

When Diana noticed subtle but concerning changes in her patient during a routine treatment, she trusted her clinical judgment and acted fast. As the patient's condition rapidly deteriorated, she immediately activated the Rapid Response Team—a decisive move that led to a positive outcome.

The patient's words say it all:
"Please thank Diana for saving my life."

Diana's actions reflect the highest standards of patient safety—staying attuned to every detail, never taking shortcuts and trusting the expertise of her team when it matters most. Thank you, Diana.

Please join us in congratulating Lori Parsons for her Shining Star for Patient Safety Award 🌟

Lori, an Emergency Department case manager at UM Charles Regional Medical Center, was recently honored with a Shining Star for Patient Safety Award for her exceptional dedication to patient advocacy and safety.

When Lori noticed that a non-verbal patient's condition didn't align with the planned discharge, she spoke up. Her persistence led to additional medical evaluation and the patient receiving the care they truly needed.

Lori's actions are a perfect example of what a culture of safety looks like in action. This is what it means to truly advocate for a patient. Lori, we are so proud to have you on our team.
