I came home from a trip to these photos my barn help had taken.
A mama Silkie tucked around her chick.
A curious little pony standing at the barn doors, watching the world go by.
Two horses under the shade, scratching each other's withers - the horse equivalent of saying, "I've got you."
Moments like these remind me that well-cared-for animals don't just survive... they feel safe.
They have good forage, clean water, room to be horses, and people who pay attention when they're trying to tell us something.
That's always been my goal. To build a place where their voices are heard, their needs matter, and they simply get to be what they were created to be.
