A day off doesn’t need a to-do list. You don’t have to clean the whole house, catch up on every errand, answer those emails, and somehow become a new person by Tuesday. Rest can look like sleeping in. Sitting outside. Watching something you’ve already seen five times. Doing absolutely nothing useful for a while. If you have time to slow down this Labor Day, you’re allowed to actually use it that way. Rest doesn’t need to be earned first.

Take the rest if you can.

Back to school means busy schedules are back, too. Between practice, homework, games, and everything else, kids and parents can both feel stretched thin. Make room for rest, check-ins, and support when you need it.

Your schedule is already full. Therapy shouldn’t require rearranging your entire life to make it work. The time, format, therapist fit, and how comfortable you feel all matter. Because support is a lot easier to keep showing up for when it actually works with your life. Finding what works for you might take some adjusting. That’s okay. Therapy is supposed to support your life, not become another thing making it harder.

As the seasons change, our routines often do too. Maybe you're protecting your mental health by saying no a little more often. Taking a real lunch break. Going to bed earlier. Scheduling therapy. Spending less time on your phone. Or simply admitting when you're overwhelmed. Whatever it looks like for you, we'd love to hear it. Fill in the blank: ""This fall, I'm protecting my mental health by _______."" Share your answer in the comments, you might inspire someone else to do the same.

Ellie is here to support your mental health as the seasons change. Find a therapist in your area or online at https://bit.ly/4vriZFD

☀️ As the days of summer begin to wind down, it’s worth remembering that not every good thing has to end when schedules and routines change.

As we shift into a new normal, let’s carry the best parts of summer with us: slowing down, spending time together, getting outside, laughing a little more, and making space to recharge.

A new routine doesn’t have to mean losing the things that help us feel our best. 💛

If your schedule starts to fill up, consider this your reminder to make mental health part of the routine, too.

New season. New routines. Same commitment to taking care of ourselves.

The car ride home can shape how young athletes remember their season. When kids hear they're valued for their effort, growth, and love of the game-not just the scoreboard-they're more likely to build confidence and enjoy playing. A few simple words can go a long way.

If you only let yourself rest after everything is done, you may never really get the chance. There will almost always be another email to answer, another chore to finish, or another task waiting for your attention. Rest isn't something you have to earn by pushing yourself to the limit. It's part of taking care of yourself so you can keep showing up for the people and things that matter. If guilt shows up the moment you slow down, you're not the only one-and it's something you can explore with support if it's getting in the way of everyday life.

Maybe your cup didn’t suddenly become empty.
Maybe you’ve been pouring from it for years.

Into your children.
Your partner.
Your work.
Everyone who needs you.

And somewhere along the way, you became the person you kept putting last.

You’ve said “I’m fine” when you weren’t.
Kept going when you were exhausted.
Smiled when you needed someone to notice.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely empty to ask for help.

You deserve a place where you don’t have to be the strong one.

You've poured into everyone else, now let us pour into you.🍵
