Yesterday I had the privilege of hosting a Senior Care Sales Workshop at The Seville in San Clemente, and I'm still thinking about it this morning.

Sarah Barker joined us to speak to a room of about 20 home care, hospice and senior living professionals. I always walk away from time with her having learned something, and yesterday was no exception.

Here's what struck me most, though. Most of the people in that room would technically call each other competitors. But there wasn't a hint of that in the atmosphere. Just humility, and a room full of people who genuinely wanted to get better at their jobs so they could serve their clients well.

I love being around people like that. Passionate, compassionate people who show up for seniors and their families because it matters to them.

Thank you, Sarah, for giving us your time and your heart yesterday. And thank you to everyone who showed up ready to learn.

The mini therapy horses are back!

We had a great time with the therapy horses from Heart and Hooves Therapy today, visiting the residents of The Orchards Health Center.

These horses bring so much joy to everyone that they saw, from the residents to the nurses to the staff - everyone that got to spend time with Frodo and Arrow absolutely fell in love!

I love my job, but days like today, I REALLY love my job!

The Seville in San Clemente celebrated the 57th anniversary of the moon landing with an amazing event, complete with moon themed food & drink, representatives from the San Clemente City Council, a Marine Color Guard and an expert docent from the San Diego Museum! It was a great event for their current and future residents.

Congrats to Dyan Lemon, Michelle Sucillon and their team at The Seville for a thoughtful and fun look back at such a monumental event in our nation's history!

And always great to see my friends Keyur Shah and Jessica Reiter-Flax, who do such a great job serving the senior community!

The July meeting of the Senior Professionals Network of Super-South Orange County was a blast this morning!

Thank you to Dyan Summerell and Michelle Sucillon for hosting us at the beautiful Seville in San Clemente. It was great to hear about all the positive changes happening there under Dyan’s leadership!

I’m grateful to be around such compassionate and dedicated people who love serving the senior community!

Moments like this are why I do this work. 🙏🏼

This family was navigating one of the hardest decisions imaginable, finding the right care for a parent, and they didn't know where to start. That's normal. Almost nobody does when they're facing this for the first time.

Thank you to all of my friends and family who came out to celebrate my birthday with me by supporting and donating to the Walk To End Alzheimer’s! I’m so grateful to have such passionate, kind and generous people in my life.

Special thanks to Morena's Mexican Cuisine for generously donating a portion of the proceeds from our party to the Alzheimer's Association! Together with my friends' birthday gift donations and the Morena's fundraiser, we raised over $800 toward the Walk!

I walk to honor the memory of my father, Jim Minor, who passed from Alzheimer’s in 2016. And I walk in the hope of discovering a cure for this disease, which we continue to believe is not too far off!
