Professional products and mass-market creams differ in formulation, concentration of active ingredients, and the way they work with the skin. For feet, this matters even more‼️

Body lotion does not work on feet. Body lotions are designed for the thin skin of the body. The skin on the feet is a different type and regenerates at a different rate, so an ordinary lotion gives only a pleasant scent and a brief feeling of softness, but doesn’t address the skin’s actual needs.

After a pedicure, the skin is especially vulnerable. During the procedure, the dry skin barrier is removed, and in the first few days your feet need protection and hydration. Apply a professional foot cream every evening for the first 3 days.

DRY SKIN… OR FUNGUS? 🤔

You see peeling, rough skin and immediately think:
“My feet are just dry. I need more moisturizer.”

But what if they’re not? ⚠️

One of the most common mistakes I see is treating every flaky foot as dry skin.

More cream.
More moisturizer.
More soaking.

And still… the “dryness” keeps coming back.

Because sometimes what looks like dry skin may actually be a fungal infection.

Where do lateral calluses come from? 👣

There can be several causes, but two are the most common:

⚠️Small-fitting shoes
Tight, narrow shoes are the biggest culprit. Constant friction and pressure make the skin defend itself by thickening — forming calluses exactly where the shoe presses.
⚠️ Incorrect foot treatment
Many people are used to the classic wet pedicure, where the skin is soaked and filed down. But this hides a trap: along with the dead skin, the live tissue often gets damaged too. And what does skin do when it’s injured? Right ,it protects itself and grows back even thicker. It becomes a vicious cycle: the more you file, the bigger the callus gets.

Always pay attention to your nail health — not just the polish, but what’s underneath. Color changes, white spots, or discoloration are signs your nails need a break.
Tight shoes, closed footwear for long periods, and continuous polish without rest can all stress the nail plate. Just like skin, nails need time to recover and breathe.
