We reviewed progress reports from the past year this week.

Improved sleep and feeling “regulated” came up again and again. For both adults and kids 🙌🏼

Not suprising, honestly. That tracks…both of those things live in the nervous system.

When a child can’t regulate their emotions, when they wake up a hundred times a night, when you feel like you’ve tried everything? That’s not a behavior problem. That’s not bad parenting. That’s a nervous system that doesn’t feel safe enough to settle.

Here’s the truth most people don’t hear at the chiropractor:

Feeling better is not the finish line.

Most of ya’ll will stop care the second symptoms calm down. And that makes total sense — life is busy, and if the kid is sleeping again or the back pain is gone, why keep coming?

Because symptoms were never the root issue. They were your nervous system’s way of waving a flag.

Mom tracked every painful bowel movement for months. A GI specialist was scheduled. She tried chiropractic as a last resort.

*Keep in mind that mom is a long-time patient, she has been adjusted through her pregnancy and brought kiddos in for care as well. BUT, we had never done an extensive care plan for this little one to address an issue, it was just wellness care here and there during infancy (which is absolutely amazing but sometimes we need more)*

She ended up cancelling that GI appointment, ya’ll. 💩

This is what nervous system care can do for babies. When the brain and gut can finally communicate the way they’re supposed to, the body gets back to doing what it already knows how to do.

We work with a lot of families who come to us after trying everything else. We’d love to be your first call instead. But we’ll take last resort, too 🤪
