Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a tool practitioners use to manipulate the skin, myofascia, muscles, and tendons. It helps to break down the scar tissue and fascial restrictions in your soft tissues. This includes your muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves and fascia. I was fortunate to work with a great staff of sports massage therapists during my racing career. Seeing them do their thing every day sparked my interest in being a therapist. I knew I wanted to work with athletes and help people get out of pain. 8 years into my career, I get to do this every day!
