We sat last night watching the sun escape the night sky and drop into the other side of the world. It was stunning! I am always swept away by God's majesty in those moments.

Within 2-3 minutes the sun hits the horizon and disappears - it happens so fast and yet the light from that moment lingers for 30-45 minutes coloring the sky with its rainbow glory. I just sat with that.. the lingering, letting it fill my heart with gratitude.

Life can be fickle, people come and go, situations enter to grow us and prune us, tragedy and adventure capture our hearts and squeeze the last of the goop, like the desperate squeeze of bottom of the toothpaste tube, out of us to empty us, bare and clean replacing stony hearts with hearts of flesh. And if we are not careful we can get so fixated on the dropping sun that we miss the lingering light that colors things beautiful.

Every person, situation, struggle, joy, or ordinary moment in life is an opportunity to look for the lingering light. Each an invitation into the MORE God has for us. His invitations don't typically come in pretty, bow tied packages...they come in our expectations unrealized, in our disappointments about how something or someone shows up, in our letting go of what we want to want is, in our unfinished business. The lingering provides space for the wrestle and invites us to look in and see what's left. Just enough light to see ourselves in the mirror and look at the truth staring back at us.

Don't miss it... be courageous, take a look, let the light show you the way to what's left undone, broken and lacking in your own heart. 💛 🧡 Only the bravest stick around to see what the dark has to reveal! And remember this beloved, the sun will rise in the morning - keep looking at the horizon, eyes up!!

Sometimes we exhaust ourselves comparing our journey with someone else’s.

We look at their milestones, their growth, their answered prayers, and we wonder…

“Am I behind?”
“Am I doing enough?”
“Why does it seem like everyone is moving faster than me?”

But God never asked us to compete.

He called us to walk with Him.

Your journey is not late.
Your season is not forgotten.
Your growth is not less valuable just because it looks different from someone else’s.

A flower does not rush another flower to bloom.

God knows the right timing for every seed He planted.

Keep trusting.
Keep becoming.

The goal is not to arrive before everyone else.

The goal is to remain faithful to the path God has placed before you.

Because in God’s Kingdom, we are not running against each other.

We are simply walking home with Him.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
