Day 2 of the Lymphedema Advanced and Review course at Földi Clinic was filled with hands-on learning, new perspectives, and unforgettable experiences.

Participants continued their Breast Cancer Rehabilitation training with hands-on upper extremity treatment techniques led by Linda Roherty. Guenter Klose guided students through upper and lower extremity bandaging using SoftCompress liners and Reversa Wraps, providing practical tools for patient care. Dagmar Engesser shared Body–Mind–Soul approaches to improve lymphatic flow, flexibility, and mobility, highlighting the connection between movement, wellness, and lymphatic health.

The day concluded with a scenic bus trip to Feldberg and a wonderful evening of food, conversation, and camaraderie at Menzenschwander Hütte.

Yesterday marked the start of the Lymphedema Advanced and Review at Földi Clinic in Hinterzarten, Germany.

Participants from around the world gathered for welcome and orientation before diving into a full day of advanced education. The day included updates in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and hands on practice with Linda Roherty and Guenter Klose.

The afternoon featured Part 1 of Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, focused on upper quadrant dysfunction, presented by Linda Roherty, followed by an informative session from Michael Oberlin, MD, on the treatment of patients with multicausal and obesity associated lymphedema (PLUS), as well as an overview of treatment at the renowned Földi Clinic.

We are excited to continue a week of advanced learning, collaboration, and clinical growth in beautiful Hinterzarten.

Certified Lymphedema Therapists: Your action is needed.

A digital health platform recently replaced the LLIS (Lymphedema Life Impact Scale) with an orthopedic measure as the default assessment for lymphedema. We must work together to protect the LLIS , an essential quality of life outcome measure that reflects the true impact of lymphedema treatment and supports evidence-based care.

Please advocate with your digital health platform provider to:

• Have the LLIS remain the primary, default QOL outcome measure for lymphedema
• Align testing cadences with specialty care, not orthopedic norms
• Ensure software supports evidence-based practice rather than constraining it.

The decisions made now could directly impact how we measure patient outcomes, demonstrate treatment effectiveness, and advocate for appropriate lymphedema care in the future.

Please act today, share this message with colleagues, and help protect meaningful outcome measurement in lymphedema care.
