Did you know that, as Dr. Cheruba Prabakar shares in her new book, 80% of women will be diagnosed with a fibroid by age 50? While many fibroids don’t cause symptoms, they can contribute to heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain or pressure, urinary frequency, constipation, fertility challenges, and pregnancy-related concerns.
As a board-certified pelvic health physical therapist, I work with many women experiencing symptoms related to fibroids. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Dr Prabakar and caring for many of our shared patients, and I’ve seen firsthand the expertise and compassion she brings to women’s healthcare.
Her new book is an outstanding resource—clear, evidence-based, and empowering. She takes a complex topic and explains it in a way that is easy to understand, helping women feel informed and confident as they navigate their options.
Whether you’ve been diagnosed with fibroids, think they may be contributing to your symptoms, or simply want to better understand this common condition, I highly recommend this book.
Congratulations, Dr. Prabakar on this incredible accomplishment! I have no doubt this book will help countless women.
📚 If you or someone you love has fibroids—or simply wants to better understand this incredibly common condition—I encourage you to pick up a copy of Dr. Prabbakar’s book, Fibroids Finally Heard: A Practical Guidebook from Diagnosis to Recovery. It’s a valuable, evidence-based resource for women seeking trusted information. If you know someone who could benefit from it, please share this post with them.
