Heather Hensley, LPN, has dedicated 10 years to the nursing profession, and we have been blessed to have her as part of the Aster Place team for the past two years. Heather’s passion for nursing was inspired by her mother, Marie, who spent 20 years as a CNA and another 25 years as a QMA. Watching her mother make a difference in the lives of others inspired Heather to follow in her footsteps. Her family’s dedication to healthcare continues with three of her sisters, who are also CNAs and QMAs.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, their sons Zach, Jake, and Peyton, and their dogs, Angus and Kiana. The family enjoys camping, kayaking, and fishing together. Heather also loves reading nonfiction and working on home improvement projects.
A quote that has made an impact on Heather’s life is, “Do what you love and love what you do.” This quote reflects Heather’s genuine passion for nursing and the care she provides to others. One of Heather’s teammates shared, “Heather is someone who truly leads with compassion. She brings kindness, dedication, and a genuine love for caring for others to everything she does.”
Heather’s dedication, compassion, and commitment to caring for others are a wonderful reflection of the values we strive to uphold at Aster Place. We are grateful to have Heather as part of our team and appreciate all that she does for our residents, families, and fellow team members.
