Mental health clinicians say they’ve been inundated with calls from people struggling with eating disorders following the release of Ariana Grande’s “Petal” music video.

Care providers say the wave of online commentary about Grande’s body has left some clients feeling overwhelmed, with experts warning that scrutiny of celebrities’ weight can be particularly damaging for teens.

Grande has not directly addressed the commentary about her health, but said her decision to step back from public life after completing her Eternal Sunshine Tour this summer was not “reactive or impulsive” and came from “a thoughtful and empowered place.”
